The policy applies to the processing of personal data through catacloud.no. Processing of personal data within the accounting system itself, which we perform on behalf of our customers, is governed by a separate data processing agreement.

What kind of personal data we collect

We process three types of information:

Information on the use of the website

Once you have consented to statistial cookies, we collect data about how the website is used – for example, which pages you visit, approximate geographical location, browser type, and referral source. This is done through Google Analytics and is stored in an anonymized or pseudonymized form.

Information you provide yourself

When you fill out a form, send an inquiry, or book a call, we process the information you provide yourself – typically your name, email address, phone number, company, and the content of your message.

Customer details

For you as a customer, we process information that is necessary to deliver the accounting service itself. When we process such information on behalf of the customer, we act as a data processor, and the processing is regulated by our data processor agreement – not by this privacy policy. The data processor agreement describes, among other things, which subprocessors we use for the service.

Why we process the information

We process personal data on the following bases:

  • Consent – for statistics and analysis via cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

  • Legitimate interest – to respond to inquiries from you and to improve our website.

  • Agreement – to deliver what you have requested, and to fulfill the agreement we have with you as a customer.

  • Legal obligation – when we are required to store information, for example under the Bookkeeping Act.

How long do we store the information

Inquiries via forms: up to 2 years after last contact with you.

  • Google Analytics: up to 14 months.

  • Cookies: in accordance with Cookiebot's declaration further down the page.

When the information is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, we delete or anonymize it.

Who we share information with (data processors)

To run the website, we use certain providers who process personal data on our behalf. We have a data processor agreement with all of these:

  • Framer – operation and hosting of the website

  • Google Analytics 4 – statistics and analysis

  • Cookiebot – management of consent for cookies

  • Microsoft 365 – handling of email and inquiries via the contact form

Some of these providers may transfer information to countries outside the EU/EEA. Such transfer only takes place when there is a legal basis for transfer, for example, the EU's standard contractual clauses (SCC). Beyond this, we do not share personal data with third parties unless we are legally obligated to do so.
